This review is an excellent review on Foards. Foards service and shipping were excellent. The one star rating is for Hustler‘s poor design. To sell a $15,500 after taxes lawnmower without the back deck wheels is just plain cheap! I didn’t notice it until I’d already pulled off the dealers lot and was putting gas in the mower. I went back in the dealer showed me the parts diagram that does not include rear deck wheels. Also the twin wheels in the back are not adjustable and only help by about a half inch. I also bought the single anti-scalp add on wheel for the back center. That one is adjustable and helps keep from scalping the grass/ground if one of the back tires drops in a low spot. I cut at 2”.
I purchased the single wheel from eBay and it is adjustable and works. It’s just A shame that Hustler doesn’t provide those wheels with a new mower. The deck is a floating deck but there’s nothing in the back to let that deck float except the back wheels on the mower. Poor business practice. And I told Hustler and Excel about it as well. Anyway you might want to tell your future customers about this product the twin wheels are useless. That’s why I am returning them. I put them on and saw that they would not help. You should receive them any day as I am returning them. That cost me about 20 bucks to send them back. The single wheel, that also doesn’t come with a new mower, cost me about $70. Anyway,
Foards has treated me well. Hustler/excel could do a better job. This is my first Hustler and I will pay extra to buy something other than Hustler next time.
I’m shocked that the other review is five stars and had to make modifications and cut stuff off.
