needs to be welded more at the bottom so a trailer ball can be mounted and work for moving an empty utility trailer for the yard. afraid it might bend as it is built

Ordered a Hustler factory hitch but modded it for my use. I wanted a hitch that I could mount a 2" ball to move my landscape trailer and an additional hole to pull attachments without removing the ball.

I cut off the factory hitch and TIG welded a 1/4" plate to it with two holes. One for a trailer hitch ball and a hole for attachments.
Blasted it and painted with appliance epoxy and it looks great.

Hustler is notoriously behind on shipments, but once Foards got it, it was shipped right out. No trouble mounting it in just a few minutes and it handles my lawn cart just fine.
