The STIHL HS 56 professional hedge trimmer is the ideal balance of power and portability. Its 24-inch cutting blade is supported by a remarkably lightweight design, adding comfort and control to those extended cutting and pruning jobs. This hedge trimmer features an optimized gearbox, providing long machine life even in heavy use. The HS 56 is easy to service thanks not only to its data port but also due to a modified grease opening on the gearbox. It comes with a blade tip guard that protects the blades, helping to keep them sharper for longer while making it easier to trim low-growing ground cover plants.

• Master Control Lever™ - 

  The Master Control Lever™ is an easy to use single lever, operating the choke, starting throttle lock, and on-off switch. The operator must pull the throttle trigger before moving the Master Control Lever™ to the choke position.

• Simplified Starting Procedure - 

  To get started, users simply pump the fuel primer, set the choke, and pull the starter cord. The built-in stop switch allows the user to turn off the engine with a simple press of the button. When the engine is off, the throttle lock automatically returns to the "start" setting. The tool will be ready to start again when the user is ready to get back to work.

  The dual-ground blade system provides a clean cut and is ideal for cutting through stronger, thicker branches.
